Wow - just, wow! I used to love to read, and even got in trouble for reading during class at school. As I got older and life got in the way, it became more difficult. It's not that I don't still love to read - it's just that if the story doesn't grab me, I don't have the patience to plow through it - ain't nobody got time for 'dat! Let me just say, there wasn't any plowing to get through this book - the story grabbed me and held me to the end! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and I anxiously await reading more from this author!
Just my initial thoughts!I began reading Slaughter this morning with my coffee. I was expecting a story about a firearms enthusiast. What I got was a storyline that sucked me right in! Before I knew it, I had read 8 chapters. The only reason I pushed pause is because my day hit me head on like a freight train & I had to get it started! I literally can't wait until I have more time to jump headlong into this book again!
WOW! I can't put this book down! It's well written, action packed, and the story just pulls you in. It's been a VERY long time since I've read a book that kept me up all night reading. I would absolutely recommend this book, and I haven't found a book worth recommending in a lot of years! I can hardly wait for another!
This is a well planned story line with a frenetic pace! I love the detailed action and the main character development. This book forced me to choose reading over sleeping. I look forward to more novels from this author. If your a fan of Mills or Mayer this book is your style. You will have only 2 bookmarks, the beginning and the end!
Story line is wonderful! Completely oringinal! Worth the time and the money! Thriller, crime, suspense....it has it all!! I cannot wait till the next book is released!

I shall not lie, I only got this book because of what the author did previously, which was photography. HOWEVER, I was and am completely shocked by how good this book truly is! Had it not been for "life" getting in the way and keeping me from reading this book sooner, it probably would have been within the first 8 hours of downloading it. It is written in a completely different style than I've ever seen. I literally was laughing out loud while eating lunch at some points and my heart was racing for other parts of the book. I cannot wait until your next book comes out Mr. Beltz! I started with you on the path to photography, and while I understand your wanting a change, it did disappoint me, I think you being an author is a great fit! I can't wait to see where D.J. goes next!
