I had purchased the Kindle version about three years ago and recently purchased the paperback to make it easier for me to refer to key information when necessary. I have the companion app as well. I believe I have finally found a methodolgy for setting goals and actually figuring out how my journey to those goals will work. It is a tangible process for me now. Instead of feeling like I would never meet my goals I have real hope because of the simple process outlined in this book. I believe the method would help people improve their finances, lose weight, achieve virtually any kind of goal or overcome just about any problem.

I just finished The Habit Factor on my Kindle and must say that this is some fascinating work! Martin Grunburg has obviously put a lot of thought into this work and the methodology behind it. Many of the concepts he brings to light are things that I was vaguely aware of, but like most people (In my opinion), not completely in tune with. He does an amazing job of conveying the notion that successful goal setting and achievement can be accomplished through the use of your own built-in tool set, habit. After reading The Habit Factor, it is now crystallized in my mind that my habits are an essential tool to help me live an "ideal" life. I am DEFINITELY going to take an habitual approach to my goal setting from here on out, and am going to make a habit out of habit!This book is well written and is full of interesting anecdotes based on his personal adventures in life, and draws on the wisdom of some of history's most intriguing figures. I literally could not put this book down. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that is interested in learning something about themselves. Excellent work!

I have been a video producer and a voice over talent for over 20 years. In my life and business journey I have only occationally danced around personal development with many of the popular books in my library. I am having success in my career but I am always wanting more creative projects, more income. I had an idea to get more serious about getting some new ideas and more consistant personal development. I found the Habit Factor online or maybe it found me if you follow some popular beliefs. I have been having one Ah ha moment after another as I read Martin's book. Habit is the key. It is the reason I have only "danced" around personal development. I never made it a habit in my rountine. I always thought of habits in terms of things you want to stay away from or good habits like brushing your teeth. It is amazing how habit permeates our life. I have also had an awareness of how maleable our minds are and if you are not concious of that it can work against you but for you too. I am looking for a break out year with tools like the Habit Factor and the associated app for my phone. Thanks again for distilling down many of the ideas of personal development to the key component, habit.

I downloaded the app in hopes of developing better habits in my life. The instructions in the app mentioned this book, so I decided to give it a read. I wound up with much more than I anticipated.At first, the principles this book teach seem to discuss rudimentary things that are easy to figure out. However, upon further reading I realized it answered some key questions for me that I had NOT figured out. Namely, it answered for me these burning questions: How do I actually apply the knowledge I've learned? How do I find purpose?I struggle with self-discipline and motivation. I knew my habits were keeping me from being industrious, yet I didn't know how to change. I knew I wanted to be more "positive", but it seemed my pragmatism kept getting in the way. Now I have the key I need for success. This book has already changed my life by instilling the understanding I needed for hope, purpose, and action.The book refers to templates that can be found on the website and to the aforementioned app. These can be obtained and used without the book. However, I strongly recommend reading the book as well. It may well change your life and destiny.

This book teaches the way to get your goals done. you have to create the good habits to help you get what needs to be done to accomplish your goals.

This book is full of what is, to me, useless information. I did not buy a book called "The Habit Factor" so that I could learn different areas of the brain. What I wanted from a "habit" book was information about habits. Sadly there was just too little about the "how" to keep my interest.Although the author did eventually get around to habit formation and what he called application he did so after devoting over one-half of the book to brain functions and other non application items.Then the application was no more than the same old same old--set a goal, decide why, divide it into action, and succeed. Along the way this author explained how habits can make goal achievement happen.Unfortunately he last me when his example was setting the goal of opening a business and deciding on the habits that would make that happen. I'm not sure I comprehend what happens to the habits after the business is opened. Do we just keep trying to open businesses? To be fair, by this time I was so bored that anything seemed out of place.My advice--don't buy this book if you really want to develop a habit.

This is an excellent book. It helps you make the changes that you have always wanted/needed to make. I would recommend it.
